Default Is Pro Tools 2018 EVER going to be supported on a current Version of High Sierra?

Is Pro Tools 2018 EVER going to be supported on a current Version of High Sierra?

Apple is up to 10.13.6 and Pro Tools 2018.7 still only works with 10.13.3. That leaves a whole lot of new Macs unable to run Pro Tools.

2018.7 runs fine for me on my iMac Pro.

Especially after changing the color profile in display settings. I have no GUI lag now.

Is anyone having success with 10.13.6 running HDX and recording with low buffers?

THAT is my understanding of what the issues are with OS’s over 10.13.3.

Even with 2018.7 and 10.13.3, I have to run at least one buffer size up than I did with PT 12 and prior.

I do a lot of orchestral OD sessions with 16+ tracks in record at once to a fairly large number of reference stems. 2018.x has been problematic compared to 12 and prior. I can’t afford to have it get any worse.

Looking forward to Avid getting this fixed.

I see you're running 2018.7 HD version. What's the difference between the regular pro tools and HD version? Do you think there would be difference in it running the regular 2018.7 on High Sierra 10.13.6?

Which OS version are you running? So you're having zero problems running your pro tools 2018.7? What year is your iMac Pro? Did you upgrade from your OS from Yosemite? Thanks for the info.

Greetings!

Could anyone possibly verify whether or not you are able to export an AAF file running PT 2018.7 or later on OS 10.13.6?

I have PT 2018.10 installed on OS 10.13.6 and PT just gets stuck when trying to export an AAF file. Previously I was running PT 12.5.1 on OS 10.13.6 and I had the same problem. My post link regarding this problem for reference
http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?p...43#post2505043

These are the settings I used

And this is the screen where PT just gets stuck after I hit OK on the previous image

If you could verify this problem for me that would be GREAT!!!

Thanks!!

I have nothing but trouble with ProTools, i9 Processor, 32GbRAM and OS 10.13.6. CPU overloads no matter the buffer. With no plugins, and only 1 track recording, highest buffer I cannot record more than 20 minutes without errors. It is a total disaster. Meanwhile Logic Pro X, Tracks Live, Audacity, Reaper and Audition ALL work fine with this machine and the exact same set-up. So I cannot use ProTool to record anymore. Cannot trust it for alive performance. So Sad. They are well over a YEAR out of date.

Update: I've upgraded to 2018.12 which is listed as COMPATIBLE with OS 10.13.6 as of the Dec. 31 2018 updated compatibility list, but Pro Tools still gets stuck on the "exporting" dialogue box during the AAF export process and all I can do is hit Cancel to get out of it. I will be contacting Support to hopefully resolve the situation.
