Default No record volumes designated

so, I can hear the microphone through my headphones now, through my Scarlett 2i2 hardware. But whenever I try to record through my microphone it says 'No record volumes designated' and takes me to the workspace page. What does this mean?

Thanks

I'm guessing there's a 'T' next to the volume/disk you want to record to and have your session on. Click on this 'T', select Record so it turns into an 'R'. That's it. Look up some tutorials on "Pro tools workspace" on youtube.
