An Apple or Command S should save.

It abso-bloomin'-lutely well ought to!

I'm just checking that nobody here is getting caught by the behaviour I mentioned re. a saving prompt.

If your session file has a different time to that which you saved/auto-saved and is missing modifications when reloaded, then that's a different thing entirely.

Good luck, I'm glad to say I haven't experienced this (still on 7.3.1cs6).

When you're doing the save - do you notice if the File menu highlights in blue briefly during the save?

We're investigating this and see a few other web reports of this happening with other apps, so we're looking at possible causes, including OS services that may play a part.

Anyone experienced the not-saving problem with 7.4cs6?

I'm still hanging back on 7.4cs3 to avoid that bug.

Thumbs down

Hi guys,

I'm seeing the exact behaviour PLUS when I SSCI, I got files missing and pop-up saying regions were discarded because their length were too short...

IT IS VERY SCARY

Right now, I'm using 7.3.1cs6. I've instelled 7.4.2 on another HD and dunno if I will use it if this is not corrected...

Cheers,

A

Sounds like your session is corrupt. I assume and hope it's only happening to a particular session not all of them. If it's happening to all of your sessions then uninstall'/reinstall Protools, if it's on a particular session then open a new session and import session info into your new session from your old session and "save" the new session.

Right...

I don't think so.

I'm seeing this with Windows XP (latest everything) with PT LE 7.4cs5, but not on the Mac OS X 10.4.11 (PPC G5) same PT's ver. I can save & close the session in Mac land no worries, just issues with the notebook. Apart from that 7.4 is very, very stable here. No more CPU spikes, excellent performance levels. I just had something like 15 heavy duty plugs running no probs at all. UAD-1 seems happy too. If only Waves would give us a APA driver now!
