Hi there
Is it possible to put a Geforce 4mx card in my agp g4 466, for dual monitor use? If yes! Would it squeeze the last juice out of my G4, when working in dual mode? (I still have to be able to play back 24-32 audio tracks, and a video track through my Fuse card). Which one of the MX models should I buy? Any pitfalls??? Thanks all Pindebraende |

Well, I have that card, as it came new in my dual 867 PowerMac G4. It has a DVI out and an ADC out, and came w/ a DVI to VGA adapter. So, that's how I have the one monitor hooked up. If you wanted to hook up another regular VGA monitor, you'd need one of those "Extend-it" devices to go from ADC to VGA. (I think)
Of course, it would just be easier to get a second PCI video card and plug the second monitor into that. |

This Villagetronic Card
could be an option for 2 vga monitors. It's only about £70 in the UK and it's got no PCI bus hogging stuff that might interfere with protools because it's got no 3D acceleration. |
