I-lok 2 - Protools 12

Hi, new to this forum, I'm a post-production student in Film & TV.

Just bought protools 12 on a month to month basis and registered an I-lok 2. I will be getting the lock in 5-7 working days I heard.
Only thing is, I didn't have to pay for the I-lok 2. Is this correct? Or should I still pay for this somewhere? Is there anything else I need to do?

I really need everything to work when I get protools 12 in a few days, I've a lot of films to be working on for college.

Hi and Welcome to Pro Tools World

Where did you purchase this PT 12 and ilok and if you didn't pay anything at checkout then you got a free iLok.

You need to open an ilok account, an Avid account, both free and register then it will be done. No costs after the fact except for the monthly payment of PT.

But wait...there's more! Make sure you plug the I-lok into a USB 2 port. They haven't been playing well with USB-3. Also, if you're on Windows, go into Device Manager and disable USB power management on all your USB ports.
