Default Signal peak/distortion/db meter peak when recording enabling track on Pro Tools LE 8

Hello!

I have a strange yet consistent issue with my Pro Tools LE 8/Mbox 2 Mini setup.

I'll finish working in a session and close down Pro Tools. When I go to reopen Pro Tools in either that same session or any other one, create a new track and record enable it then the db meter peaks into the red and there is loud distortion on the track. This will happen no matter how many tracks I open. If I shut down Pro Tools and physically unplug the connector from the back of the Mbox 2 Mini that connects to the USB port on my Mac Mini and plug it back in I can then restart Pro Tools and the issue is gone.

Basically, every time I start a new Pro Tools session I have to unplug the Mbox and plug it back in again. That signal peak happens every time I don't unplug and replug the Mbox 2 Mini without fail. It's not a major issue but seems like I shouldn't have to do that each and every time I start up a session.

Info on my system and setup are below. If anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful to hear them.

Thank you!
