Default USB 3.0 and/or Light Peak

Now that Apple has basically kicked Firewire to the curb, what are Digidesign's plans to support USB 3.0 and LightPeak?

Can we expect to see some new hardware utilizing these transport options in the near future? Or even just a "refreshed" Digi 004/R (the same thing as the Digi 003/R (which was the same as the Digi 002/R)), but with a USB 3.0 or LightPeak connection.

Personally I think I would like to see LightPeak, assuming of course that Digi does something about the track count limitations of LE. Of course there's also the new AVB standard that is emerging, which could be a likely options considering that many other pro audio manufacturers are going to be moving to AVB as the next gen connection and transport standard.

If you haven't seen the new Avid compatibility pages yet, they are now recommending USB2 drives for Windows 7 users(and no firewire for us). As confusing as that is(and I have not tried it yet) I would guess that USB3 would likely work(just make sure to kill power management on ALL USB ports(which we are supposed to do anyway, but some never read the booklet)
