Pro Tools5.1/Digi001 won't work after Firmware Update!

help i'm on a G4 500 dual (agp/gigabit) with 192 mb (used to be 512 before this @#$@#$ update). i'll open a session with and without plug-ins and everything will work, except that no audio will come out. is anybody having this problem also?

-Reseat the Digi001 interface cable at both ends.

-Make sure the Monitor Mode button is in the Out position.

Was this the dreaded RAM eating firmware update Apple is warning people about?

Any chance the 001 card was seated in the Mac when running this update?

i installed the firmware update this afternoon, and my computer now won't boot up with the 001 card installed -- I get a white screen with a cryptic error code.

My card *was* in the machine when I installed the update - should that matter?

It's booting into open firmware?

can you type set-defaults -> enter -> reset-all -> enter

You can boot into into OF with (Option, Command O, F) keys.

- Zap P RAM (Option, Command, P, R) hold for three start-up chimes

This should really be done first.

See if that helps. Otherwise get on the phone with Apple. Dual Processor?

??Don't you have to disable one of the processors for the 001??

I use a G4 500Mhz AGP(SP) and did the Firmware update with the 001 card installed AND also installed OS X on seperate partition. No problems at all. I'm running PT LE 5.1.

re seated the digi and now it's working!

also the card was in during 'firmware bonanza'. maybe that was it, i don't know!
