Default **External Hardrive (LaCie) The unfixable (-9073) Error**

I'm running a Macbook Pro OS X 10.4.1 2.2 GHz Core 2 Duo. I'm using MBox 2. My Hardrive is Lacie D2 Extreme (Firewire).

Problem:

I open a certain session that I've previously never had any trouble with. When I try to playback I get the following error:

"DAE can't get audio from the drive(s) fast enough. Your drive may be too slow or fragmented, or a firewire drive could be having trouble due to the extra firewire bandwidth or CPU load. (-9073)."

Attempted solutions:

I have gone to Disk Utility to attempt to verify/repair my drive. However, the following text appears:

"Verify and Repair disk “LaCie Disk”
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
Invalid node structure
Volume check failed.

Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit

1 HFS volume checked
1 volume could not be repaired because of an error"

I've heard that DiskWarrior would fix this problem, but I'm a starving student that can't really pay the $100 for the program. I have no idea what to do. I have Googled and Googled; I have searched the DUC. Still, I find no relief.

I am really anticipating getting back to work on my project, but at this point I am at a standstill.

Please, please I need any help I can get. Thanks guys

Just back up all the data on that drive and reformat/erase it. Hopefully it's just a directory corruption that a new format will fix.

What is the best way to do that? I've tried copying files to my startup drive, but it just freezes.
