2 solutions for this:
1-upgrade to a new license(and enjoy all the goodies added to Pro Tools that you are missing). Or:
2-switch to a new USB interface for use with any DAW that is not Pro Tools. This is by far the cheapest route. In this case, I would remove the HDN card from the system to avoid any driver/hardware issues. You could put it all away from some future time, or sell it off now while it has decent value(certainly $800 minimum for a used HDN card, 192 and cables).

I use HD Thunderbolt Native with both Mac & PC. If the driver is installed by installing Pro Tools then the I/O is available to other programs, I use Cubase Pro 9.5, Logic X, Reaper, Soundforge, etc.. with all available I/O selectable and down to a 32 buffer without issue. Never had much luck with TDM HD cards working multi client like this, there used to be a driver available back in the day but I never perused it. My TDM rig is an Win XP/HD4, I installed an RME Hammerfall 9652 for other apps, mainly Gigastudio 3.
