auto talkback DIM function annoyance
i have a beef with the auto talkback function.
to get bi-directional comm. with the booth, i have to engage auto talkback AND the listenback mic. but when i disengage auto talkback, the listenback is still engaged and the the DIM releases and i hear the fan noise of the booth go way up. it would be cool if either: a) the auto talkback and listenback buttons could be linked OR b) the DIM for auto talkback could be controlled separately from general listenback mode is there a way around this? the only way i can see is to not set a DIM level, rendering the DIM button useless. |

Re: auto talkback DIM function annoyance
That's what we've done (set the dim to 0dB), which also annoys me - I use dim all the time at home (Central Station) and in every studio I've ever worked in. SSLs had auto talkback AND dim since the early 80s - not exactly a new idea...
