Strike with PT8 Disables Faders, Pans etc

Using Strike with PT8, everything works fine. Start a Strike patch and when I try to use a fader or pan or mute, etc, nothing works! But I can use the plugins area, the transport, weird huh?

Also when playing Strike on an instrumental channel, I get signal and audio and recording light comes on when I hit it. But nothing records. the I/O's are standard settings, no input, analog 1-2.......any ideas????

Can you explain a little more - would love to help but right now I'm not quite sure what you mean. Some of the Strike videos on the AIR Blog may help.

Same problem sometime when using Structure Free ! Fader , Pan & Mute freeze ! (cant slide fader , cant turn PAN & cant Mute/solos )

but Insert area / plugins '',Playback everything work fine !

UPDATE: PT8 LE session XP

Strike works fine until I touch the pan knobs with my mouse, then everything freezes - faders, mute, solo, etc and then I my Mackie MCU control surface gets cut and I get the "can't commnuicate with HUI" error message. Song still plays and I can control the transport easily. But I have to exit PT8 completely and do a reboot of it. Then the same thing happens. Doesn't work with 8.0 or my current 8.0cs1.

I also can't record with Strike. I get signal/audio and start recording (like I've done a thousand times before) but nothing! Edit track shows zilch.

Any ideas????

Strike or Structure LE (can't also have free installed) haven't done this on my Mac Pro with PT8..
Are you using Windows or Mac OS?
Do you have Pro Tools 8.0 or 8.0cs1 installed?

XP. Doesn't work with 8.0 or my current 8.0cs1.
Kinda bummed, starting a new project and I can't use it!

Im having the same problem using multiple xpand2 instrument tracks.

The cs1 is causing all sorts of havok for WinXP users (most notable the issues you are having).. You will have to uninstall protools and reinstall WITHOUT installing cs1.

Digi has yanked the d/l until they fix it..

Sorry it's not better news.
