Default Pro tools se won't record

Hi I just bought the avid Fast Track USB Interface with Pro tools SE bundled in.I had some DAE issues but found the solution to that.My problem is It WILL NOT record.
My Specs:Toshiba Satellite S875D-S7239
CPU:AMD A10 4600M 2.3GHz (3.2GHz w/Turbo Core Tech)
GPU:AMD 7660G
6GB RAM
AMD High Def Sound Device(which somehow got disabled and I haven't figured out how to reenable it the option is greyed out)
OS:Windows 7Home Premium 64bit
I am recording an electric guitar if that matters.
Also I was told I could run the headphone jack or the line ut from my Roland Street Cube into the Instrument jack of the fast track.Yes or No?

EDIT I found the solution I didn't set the input to 2.Nonetheless how do I record in stereo?

Hi l0new0lf331 :)

I have a similar problem.

You wrote "I found the solution I didn't set the input to 2"

Can you or anybody else tell me where to set or select the input to 2?

Thanks for helping me out. It's quite frustrating hearing the actual guitar sound but no waveform or input level : /

To those who have a similar problem with no input signal here is what solved the issue for me.

Btw I am using Pro Tools SE.

When opening a guitar recording session I did:
1. choose "track" in the menu
2. choose "new"
3. choose "audio track"
4. choose "stereo"

It is step number four that I did wrong. In some tutorial I heard that one has to choose "mono".

Good luck!
