Default Advice Please on a new PT computer setup

I am replacing my PT computer. I am looking at the following options and am wondering what others think. My main concern is on how the Power Book G4 is for track count and plugins with the 002r.

These are my 3 thoughts on how I might proceed and are what is in my ball park price wise.

1) New dual 2.5Ghz G5

2) New Dual 1.8Ghz G5 and emachines M6809 AMD 64-bit laptop(pc)

3) 1.5Ghz PB G4 and custom AMD 3.4Ghz Allenstein Machine(pc) tower.

I have always used PC and have had nothing but problems using PT on them, constant crashes and loss of data. I have heard great things about Macs and also now own a copy of Logic 6 Pro. I have plenty of PCs around so I won't be without one of these for programming/web development. I am looking to buy a reliable exclusive PT system. Option 1 is obviously all Mac, the other two are both Mac and PC with a tower and laptop. I just want to make sure I can get all 32 tracks with solid perfaormane from the dual 1.8Ghz G5 and the 1.5 Ghz PB.

Please let me know if the dual 1.8Ghz G5 and 1.5Ghz PB can handle 32 tracks. Like I stated I will be new to the MAC, but I know these PCs will do 32 tracks without a problem. I am posting in both the PC and Mac forums to get an idea from both sides.

Just my opinion, but here goes...If you really want to work with both a laptop and a desktop, my vote would be the PB and the Allenstein machine. Since PT does not access the second cpu in a dual processor system, I doubt that performance will be any better as compared to the PC. A MAC laptop on the other hand, will probably be the least hassle of any laptop. Of course you may have trouble equipping both setups with all the same plugins. PT hardware ships with both platforms so no problem there. Make sure you enforce PC/MAC compatibility on all your sessions.
