Shifting everything... how to?
I have a session where a number of songs were recorded one after another (live). I had later messed around with some fades/muting/volume changes. Now, for one song I want to be able to shift all of the tracks and all their related automation to the beginning of the session (don't worry, I duplicated the original session file)... but I can't seem to be able to figure it out... I can only move the audio. In all of my years using PT, I've never had to do this and I'm sure it's simple. I feel like such a n00b.
What's the secret? Thanks in advance. --- c

Re: Shifting everything... how to?
Select all of the audio you want to move, then use cut and paste. The underlying automation goes with the audio.

Re: Shifting everything... how to?
Tried that... same result... not working. The automation stays where it was, only the audio moves. I must be missing a preference setting somewhere or something.

Re: Shifting everything... how to?
Yes, there is a preference called "Automation Follows Edit", or something like that. Make sure it's checked.
