Re: Instrument definitions ?
I think you need cherry picker or cherry mangler.
do a google or a DUC search. regards.

Re: Instrument definitions ?
Since you mention sonar, I'm guessing you're on a PC, so cherry picker isn't going to help (mac only).
I'm not very familiar with the Cubase .xml format, but I think the .midnam xml formats are different, so you'll have to find or create a .midnam file. Skylight recording has a midnam for the XP-30, but you'll have to pay them for the whole package ($12 isn't bad). Then you'll also need a .middev file for it. You can try my online .middev creator.

Re: Instrument definitions ?
steinberg used to have a lovley database off evey deffinition you would want, but alas i dont think they still do and the format was different then.
PT does use the .xml format just with a different file extention so you should be able to rename the PT file but there might be a couple of lines that are different |

Re: Instrument definitions ?
Specifications about digi .xml files
Very MAC-centric, and since this feature has been available for windows since 6.7, that page could use an update.
