I'm running on a brand new Mac Pro with 12gb of RAM and 24 processors and suddenly it won't recognize the mbox2 mini AND when it does I get this error.

I've had it with this company and its busted software/hardware combo...

had this problem myself - here's what fixed it for me.

are you using 2 monitors? are both connected correctly?

i had an external monitor plugged into an adapter from the miniport / thunderbolt port on my macbook pro. the adapter was still connected to my mbp but the monitor was not connecteed to the adapter.

reconnected the monitor, rebooted the mbp and no more dae 743 errors!

huzzah!

Here's what worked for me, nonsensical as it is :

Reinstalled the MBox2 firmware (even though it's from 2006) and the error disappeared.
