Default Monitoring Chain Plugins

Dan Worrall shows us in this video how he adds plugins to his monitoring chain in Reaper.

These are plugins that affect ONLY the monitoring chain and do NOT get included on any in-DAW print or bounce.

Has anyone figured out how to do something like this in Pro Tools?

I'd like to add room eq to my monitoring chain.

Just bus to an aux, aux to speakers. Put plugs on aux.
When picking your bounce source, always pick the bus that is the input to the aux.

Yet another case where my preferred session setup will work just fine.
I, like many, have for years now set up our tracks to go to a aux track instead of the main outs that PT seems to default to. I call it MIX. It allows me to route the mix anywhere to monitor, print etc. Remember, PT let's you set a track's output to more than one destination. I put master plugins on MIX instead of a master fader, we all know that those are after fader, right. So I never have anything on MF. It's just a volume control.
But in your case, if you worked like this you would put the room EQ plugin on the MF and bounce or print the MIX aux.
I really like the flexibility of working this way. For example, I have outputs 1-2 going to my monitors, and 3-4 going to headphones. I switch the output of MIX to 3-4, and I have it on headphones, and the monitors are silent. Very handy.

Yeah that works fine. Dunno why I was imagining something much more complex...

I think so many miss the true value or importance of this.

I do so too.
A simple thing, yet so powerful.

On mac, it's ctrl-click the output selector, then check off any output or bus you want the track to go to. The output will have a + sign if more than one destination is selected.

So one can listen to everything else outside the DAW through the monitoring chain. That's a big plus.

I don't know what I'd do without multiple-outs. We use it in every mix room.
