Default Waveforms not shown during recording

Suddenly I cannot see the waveforms during recording. I'm not in loop or punch or destructive mode, so cannot really understand what happened.

I had this happen recently too for the last days I had 7.3.1. It went away after I just went to 7.4cs2, but it was strange as I couldn't check if it was really recording.

Every parameter is identical in the prefs, scrolling is set to page at both profile. Really cannot understand what's happening. Even the plugs are the same.

Are you using low latency monitoring? If so try turning it off to see if the waveforms are displayed.

Tried in low latency, tried when it's off, tried with different buffers too, but still no sucess.
I suspect that I should reinstall protools in that system.

Ok, an update. For the record, this machine has 4GB ram, and protoolsle is patched with largeaddressaware. If I remove the patch, everything is working (drawing the waveform during rec), and as soon as I apply the patch, it doesn't draw the waveform.
Now the funny thing is that, at the other profile I patched the file and still draws the waveform during rec. Now I really don't know what can be the solution.
It's not that I cannot live without the patched protools, but now at this point I really want to know what cause this that in profile a everything is fine, and the in profile b (which is identical to a) it causes problem. I checked that the two windows are having the same updated components, even has the same videocard driver, so now I seem to have no idea what can make this thing work in one profile, and make bad in the other.
Still wait for any expert to chime in.
