Wheres my license card?(m powered educational package)

i recently bought the educational version of pro tools m-powered 8 (boxed not download) which supposedly included digitranslator. the installer for digitranslator is on the disk but there are no ilok licence card and no activation card as there is for the included melodyne essential.

wtf do i do?! do i need to contact the company i bought the package from or digidesign/m-audio/avid??? if its digidesign i need to contact then could you please leave instructions on HOW to contact then (seems almost imposible since their website merged with the avid one).

I am in the exact same situation. Had an "authorization" number, a "registration" number, but no "activation" number to unlok my plugins. There was no card in the box. If you found out where to obtain the "activation" number, please repost.

when i registered the copy of pro tools on the digidesign website it asked my for my ilok acount name, i assumed that was so the plugin licences could be sent to my ilok acount. ether the websites broken or it dosnt work like that. plugins that need an ilok are just about THE WORST idea ever =[

cocodog13 - Pro Tools M-Powered 8 educational version doesn't come with Digitranslator - what are you reading that led you to believe it did? There was an old academic version (7.3) that did, but that version of M-Powered was actually different than the full version. The current educational version is exactly the same as the retail version.

stratbrat - Can you tell me which plug-ins you're trying to authorize? Keep in mind that the installer DVD has installers for most of our plug-ins, but they don't all come with your package. Many of them are 'paid for' options - the installer DVD should indicate they're 'optional installers', though how it's worded can vary depending on which installer DVD version you're using.

I am having issue with installing 3rd party plug ins that came with PTMP 8. Melodyne Essential

I installed from DVD.. and from DLed package. I got the serial # via email.

I am getting error..Installation Failed. cannot write to "/" location..

Please help..

aah ok. in the product description when i bought it it said that translator was on the disk so i assumed that seeing as every single other DAW in the world can read .omf's out the box that m powered would >.<

<-- this is me being pissed off that the industry leading DAW cant read .omf's without an $800 extra fee.

It shouldn't be $800 - the educational pricing on it is around $150, I believe and you may be able to find an iLok auth on eBay for less. The retail cost of it is going for $365 on B&H.

Logic is $500 ($400 street) - without hardware. M-Powered runs about $200 street, $150 educational pricing, so the full retail is about $565 vs. $400 for Logic - not such a huge difference.

Just wanted to be clear about what the costs actually were, rather than throwing random, inaccurate pricing around...
