Default 003 Factory Bank Change Bug

My PTLE 7.3.1 003 (Factory) system exhibits the following buggy behavior when I press the 003 arrow keys, with Bank enabled (startup default mode) - i.e. when I attempt to change to the next bank of tracks via the control surface:

- the 003 does change to the next bank, i.e. the faders move and the LED display changes
- the mix window display changes so it is no longer showing the same position
- I can't use the online scroll control to move back to my position
- when typing a track name, it starts inserting each new letter to the LEFT of the previously typed letter
- If I drop down the File menu, it is flashing
- If I select Close Session, the focus cycles among the three buttons; i.e. each button flashes in turn forever
- If I press the 003 Nudge or Zoom buttons or the press the arrow key again, this behavior stops

In other words, the system acts as if the arrow button or the tab key is held down or stuck. However, this does not appear the be the case physically. This is a new computer/003, and it behaved like this out of the box.

Has anyone seen this, or have any idea what might be causing my problem?

Thanks.

Mike

Default Re: 003 Control Surface Bank Change Bug

I would rather call it a system specific issue, because for example mine is working fine. Tried to repro the thing, but cannot.

Digi tech support says that this was fixed in cs4; I'll test this out later:

Fixed: Pressing The Right-Arrow Button On 003 Can Scroll The Selector To The Session Start Position (Item #90718)

This would occur in Nudge or Bank mode

Pressing the left-arrow button would cause normal behavior to resume

Yes - I applied cs5, and that fixed this and all associated problems.
