Question Mbox CPU holding off USB audio. 002 works fine...

Hello,
I have a Macbook Pro running PT8 on Leopard.
I have an Mbox1 and a 002 Desk.

The 002 works fine, no problems doing anything (unless I go crazy with plugins/track count) The computers happy enough to process VIs and plugs on this system.

I'm now off college (in London where the 002 is) for christmas and back in Ireland, so I brought the Mbox since its easier to get on a plane.

The main problem is I keep getting the bloody "CPU usage is holding off USB audio" messege (-9136). As far as I can see this shouldn't be happening running only 5 VI's.

Is there a reason for this. From experience with the 002 th CPU is fine running like this and I cant see why it would "hold off usb audio". There is no tracking going on literally just 5 VIs and the output of the lot heading to my headphones Via the USB. Surely this is just summed to a stereo feed, sent out the usb and hit my headphones. I can't see a reason why the USB should make a difference...

Cheers for any help
-Josh

Have you tried connecting the Mbox to the other USB port on the Mac? Or any of the other troubleshooting/configuration steps in the General Troubleshooting thread?

Yes checked the thread,
My system is set up to Digi recommendations.
The Hard Disk has an Oxford chipset (LaCie D2 through FW 800). I have 3 Gb Ram, the only things attached to the computer is the Mbox, and a Midi controller. Though the same thing happens when its disconnected.

I have swapped the ports but to no avail several times (yes the Mbox is plugged into the furthest port from the screen most of the time).

This problem is Mbox specific, as said my system runs fine when using the 002...

The Os is 10.5.5 but again I don't think this is relevant to the problem. I'm guessing the firmware is updated on the Mbox as I've had 002 racks auto install it as soon as I connect up with version 8.

I have 2 cores but my prefs are set up to use one processor (I assume that means cores) as recommended.

Am I missing anything?

Same problem... no answer. I'm thinking "Logic Pro 9.0"
