Default D'oh. It took me 3 years to realize holding shift allows you multiple plug-in windows

Just in case someone else out there doesn't know this.

If you hold shift and click on an plug-in insert, it opens it up in a new window, instead of replacing the plug-in window that's already open.

You can also click on the red square in the upper corner of any plugin to keep it parked on the desktop(before PT8 it looked like a tiny target).

The old unix interfaces had a thumbtack/pushpin icon to represent that, which was more consistent visual language for the desktop metaphor.

Metaphor has gotten lost it seems in favor of abstraction and gloss. But we are reminded all the time why it was such a breakthrough concept in the first place.
