M-Audio Fast Track Ultra x iPad

I have an iPad Pro and a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra. With this setup, and using an original lightning to USB 3 camera adapter, the iPad supposed to seamlessly recognize the interface but it’s not working. Does anyone know what might be the reason? Thanks in advance!
