How to Open ProTools First files

I have finally upgraded from my mid-2011 Mac, and can now use Pro Tools again. I'm starting with Pro Tools Intro (I believe).

When Pro Tools First stopped working on my old Mac, I was in the middle of a creating a song for my wife with my children. The children have grown up and left, and now my wife *really* wants me to get that project mixed and completed.

I presume all of the tracks I need from Pro Tools First are kept in the files 'm finding that end with *.ptproject.

Is that correct?

Unfortunately, the *.ptproject files aren't opening in Pro Tools Intro.
I'm using File -> Open -> Project -> Open from Drive.

But though I can see the files from the right time period in the Projet Cache folder, none of the files in the project cache folder are selectable. I cannot click on one of the *ptproject files.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,

Are the projects appearing on both Dashboard and on your local folder's PT cache? Have you tried signing out and signing back in?
