I use both Blue Cat MB-7 Mixer (which is much more than just a wrapper) and also DDMF MetaPlugin, which can also be used to add a wet/dry control to anything and supports VIs.

Bluecat Patchwork if you don’t need the multiband aspect of MB-7.

+1. Blue Cat PW works great as a VST host for both VI's and fx plugins. And you can host multiple plugins and VI's all in one instance. Its a slick tool to have.
