Default Cabinet Frequency Response/Eleven Rack window in Pro Tools

Hi everyone,

first thanks for letting me join the forum.

I used the search option to look for similar posts but I could not find any. Furthermore I did not find anything about this on Google.
And I am German so please forgive my faults regarding grammar.

1.
I always thought that the guitar sound coming out off the Eleven Rack sounded a bit muffled. I am relatively new to creating my own guitar tones. So I thought I just had not figured out how to produce a rich yet brilliant tone.

Today I pushed the treble and presence to the top to experiment with the sound. When I looked at a frequency analyzer inside of Pro Tools I noticed that above 10kHz everything was pretty much cut off. When I bypassed the cabinet I got the missing 10-20kHz but with a terrible guitar tone.

Can you tell me if that is normal with cabinets? Or is there maybe a problem with my Eleven Rack hardware?
If this is common can you suggest a work around to this? Would you boost every guitar recording?
I use a Gibson Les Paul Studio 2015 with rather long used strings. Could that be a problem?

2.
Since I updated Pro Tools to 12.5.0 my Eleven Rack window disappeared. It is also not available if I look in the windows tab. Did that happen to you as well? I already reinstalled the driver as the Editor but nothing changed. If I reinstalled Pro Tools would I lose any data or is everything saved in the "Pro Tools Sessions" folder?

It would be awesome if you could help me with this!

Indeed, the average guitar cabinet has very little going on above 8-10KHz. Take a look at these plots

Thanks for the quick answer!
So are electric guitars with more high end uncommon?
I am trying to make a guitar part fit in in a pretty electric driven mix. The guitar sounds dull in comparison to the other instruments. Would you use an exciter or something similar in this case?

No exciter for me. I would work on getting it right on the way in. If that still needs some top end help, I reach for a Pultec EQ. Even the lowly Bomb Factory Pultec EQ1-A is a very useful tool(seen it on the used market for $50) or maybe MAAG EQ4

Ok, I will try to get the signal as close as I can on the way in. And thanks for the plugin suggestions! (I hope you meant the plugins since the hardware costs a fortune)
