Default If hdx gets approved for apple m1 machines....

Does it mean m1 machines will support external thunderbolt pcie boxes now? I thought Apple said no to pcie thunderbolt expansion boxes for the m1 macs. Confusing how they will do this.

perhaps the new M1 Pro and M1 Max will support it. However, that's only available in a laptop chassis for the moment.

They are already supported. Take a look here at Sonnet's Echo III specs:

Mac (M1) with PCIe cards that have M1 compatible drivers

Oh. That's good to know. Glad it's just a driver issue. (I thought Apple basically said no external pcie boxes.) Thanks!
