Yep. Didn't see it in the release notes so I haven't bothered with the update yet.
Looking into some alternatives. Just not an option to live with these two bugs, hoping PT11 will fix them. The score issue has been there since 8 so I rather doubt there are any plans to fix it, but who knows, maybe we'll get lucky. If it is fixed at some point maybe I'll weigh that against my other option. |

I'd be interested to hear your opinion on alternatives (maybe pm me). I've tried quite a few. Most extensively Reaper and Nuendo and a while back also Sonar. They all have their pros and cons. DP8 might be worth looking at when it comes out as well.
In theory I'm happy with Pro Tools, but this bug is really annoying. It makes working with large MIDI arrangements next to impossible. BTW, how do I report a bug, do I really need a support code to do that? Thanks.

I completely agree. I like PT, but this bug is really slowing things down.
I can't see your contact info for pm, so send me a pm with a contact address and we can continue offline (at least I think you should be able to pm me - if not, I'll add you as a contact if that's how it works). To report a bug, you don't need to use an ASC, but you might need one to get a tech on the phone - not sure. I reported the midi slow delay bug in 10, and Avid didn't charge it against my code, though I had to provide one at first. |

HELP HELP
i'm having an issue with NOTATION DISPLAY TRACK SETTING > DISPLAY QUANTIZATION. i have a simple harp piece for a movie i need to print and it's turning my triplets into nonsense notes. a whole note becomes a bunch of tied notes. nothing seems to work. i want to cry. midi is normal. will have to export to finale and work into it i guess? From experience, I would not rely for a second on PT's score editor to print any sort of usable part. You would be much better off exporting the harp part into Sibelius and editing it there as needed.
BTW, I noticed at the beginning of this thread people talking about how unusable the score editor is with lots of tracks. It still chokes, coughs, sputters and DIES in PT 10HD with lots of tracks - even if there is only one track with actual midi notes recorded. Pretty ridiculous, IMHO. - Greg |

Problem still not resolve here ... PT HDX Ultimate 2020 Opening the Score editor with a big midi teamplate make PT not responding for a few minutes... ![]() |

Pro Tools Studio 2023.3
Same behaviour - Larger template causes longer loading times of the notation view. Not usable for quick notation checks of selected tracks. |
