Default PCIe to PCI converter

anyone successfully used a PCIe to PCI converter? How much was it and was there a "catch"?

Default Re: PCIe to PCI converter

Do a search of this forum, there are several people running this configuration successfully. If you already own the PCI version of the HD cards, it makes sense. If haven't bought HD cards yet and don't plan on going beyond HD3, it will end up costing about the same either way. The only chassis officially supported by digidesign is the magma PE6R4... however I have read several reports of people successfully running some of the smaller, less expensive magma PCIe to PCI chassis as well.
