Default Late/Choppy meters G4-OS9-Mix

The meters for any track in record become super latent and choppy. Over a second late and around 1 Frame per second!
This showed up after a complete system reinstall.

Did I miss something in the reinstall?

We are running PTMixPlus/ProCon on a 9600/300. I have complained about the meters since upgrading to 5.0 They were bearable in 4.3.1, but in 5.0, I think they are much slower. I just assumed that it went along with other general slowness of 5.0 and/orOS9.

PT4,

Meters look the same in my setups, very responsive and very green. So you probably know what the million dollar question will be.

What is your setup, what kind of computer, what are your monitor settings set to ect.
I'm sure that looking at the basic settings of your newely installed OS9 will expose something that is slowing down the performance of your screen redraws.

What about slowness on the ProControl? I swear they are not as fast as they were in OS8.1 & 4.3.1 Almost unusable.

9600/300 OS9 192meg ram.

Is there any settings I should check in PT5?

Am also finding this problem difficult to work with. In Digital Performer 2.61MTS using DAE it is even worse. Am using Mix + and G4 450 Saw. Also hearing clipping without seeing it om meters in DP and PT 5. Do I need to do some kind of hardware calibration of my interfaces ? Using an 888-24 and 1622. Was hoping to use a HUI and PT instead of a mixing console, now not so sure....am new to Pro Tools and don't know what are limitations and what are things I can change with a bit of knowledge ...would be very grateful for any tips
