Default Consolidation is erasing my fades!

Hey guys, I'm struggling with an annoying issue. I noticed this when working with 7.4.2pr but now that I've upgraded to the qualified release it still happens. Whenever I consolidate 2 or more regions that have fades on them the consolidation erases the fades. What is going on here?!

That's what consolidating does. It creates a new continuous file that includes permanent versions of any fades or edits that you had done.

no, its not keeping the fades. The fades are there specifically to get rid of some pops/clicks but the pops/clicks come back when i consolidate. If it had created permanent fades then the audio shouldn't change at all.

Ah, you mean it's not erasing the fades, it's ignoring them.

I'm unable to reproduce this. Are you sure the pops are from edit points and not actually recorded in your audio files? Have you tried trashing prefs, database and volume files?

Have you tried trashing prefs, database and volume files? I'm using a very similar rig to you and can't reproduce the problem at all, so it must be something going on with your setup.

Technically yes because I uninstalled to upgrade to 7.4.2 and it still happened. Maybe when I get home tonight I'll try trashing again but I don't think that's the issue.

Out of curiosity what are the session specs? (bit & sample rate) Does it do it in all sessions, or just one particular one? Any 3rd party plug-ins or other unusual stuff going on in that session?

It's happened in more than one session by the way.
