Default elastic audio problem

i am using elastic audio and when I stretch out a vocal using a warp function you can hear the location where the edit begins. Is there anything I can do about this?

Thanks,
Edson

You have to be careful where you're placing the line, how about zooming in on the waveform and picking a spot where tha audio is at it's lowest volume before your intended edit, it does work great but elastic is not an excuse for poor performance (ish) or lazy editing. Like everything, it has it's limitations. Good luck

your statement is very general: "you can hear where the edit begins" That can mean a lot of things. Do you mean the audio file is actually distorded from that point on? or is there a pop noise, / a click noise / or ???

Ok..to clarify...and expand on my original statement. I'm doubling some vocal lines and wanted to try out the elastic function by shorting the double to match the original by a little. The place where the warp market is creates like a pop or click noise after I shortened the section, which basicaly means I can't use the elastic function because I don't want a clicking noise. SO is there a way to go get rid of it? And if so how?

Thanks,
Edson

Are you using the Monophonic algorithm? You should be using it or Polyphonic for vocals.

The instruction manual says to you monophonic manual for vocals? What's the difference using polyphonic for vocals?

You can sometimes get good results with Poly on vocals depending on what you are doing.

Is there a region boundays at or need the warp marker? Sometimes these can cause pops.

It might be useful to get your session with just that vocal edit to see whats going on. Just warping internal to a region shouldn't cause a pop.

Did you try clicking on the elastic audio plugin on the track and adjusting the rate? that may help with the artifacting that you are hearing..

The Monophonic plug-in doesn't have any parameters.
