Default Alternatives to Synchro Arts VocAlign?

Hi Folks,

Does anyone know of an alternative plug in to Synchro Arts Vocalign?

I love what the Vocalign Plugin does, but the Project version £233.00 ($375) doesn’t have iLok support so I can’t take it with me between the studios at work & at home… And the Pro Version (which I love the improved algorithm of btw & supports iLok) is as bit harsh at £421.82 ($629). I only use this plug-in for aligning BV’s & gang vox & although what it does it great, I can’t justify £420.00 for the amount I use it…

Does anyone know of any alternative plugins that do the same/similar job?

Many Thanks

Nick

Thanks to everyone that read my post & had a think…

I will just have to do it manually with the T/CE tool for now…

Many Thanks

i never saw this, but ... my 2¢ is it ain't wirht the money. i had it on a project and i could ALWAYS do better by hand. more time-consuming , but better.

don't bother.

I completely dissagree. I have vocalign Pro, and it is one of the best investments I've ever made. Yes it's expensive, but one day with it with 30 BV tracks to line up on a time crunch and you'll wonder how you ever worked without it. With a little tweaking/ knowing how much to do at one time, can make it perfect....and no amount of hand shuffling will do it as accurately. I can do what would take an hour in under 5 minutes now, with no real difference in the quality.

YMMV

I have to agree C F H 13
I don´t know how well it works in replacing the original english language with something else but in aligning several BV it is doing an absolutely fantastic job.

I´m a real melodyne pro user but what I do with Vocalign in 5 minutes can´t be done better with Melodyne in half an hour.

So for me there is no alternative for Vocalign.

Cheers Wolfgang

If you have Pitch n Time you can align in the time section.
Slower (manual points to the guide track) but the results are good.

i guess, to be fair, i never used the Pro version...and i never used it to align Background Vocals (if that is what you are talking about)...i have never had background vocals that out of alignment.

i only used the VocAlign for ADR.
