I'm basically blue in the face from PC hardware conflicts and want to get a Mac for ProTools LE 6.4
I like the Price of the MAC Mini, but it says Protols is not guaranteed to work. What is a GUARANTEED Model of a Mac that will work with NO hardware conflicts? I'm a Mac n00b, so please any info will be greatly appreciated |

Unless you're into making older hardware jump through hoops it never knew existed (like me) I'd get whatever is listed in the Digi qualified system list, and make music.
The Minis are cool, but I've decided my money is better spent upgrading my old Sawtooth G4 due to the Mini's storage limitations. I just don't trust FireWire for critical storage, and the performance isn't that great. I'm also waiting for the Intel Macs to mature a bit. Never buy the first revision of anything. |
