Default Unable to set up SPDIF with Mbox 2 Pro

Hi!

I was trying to record with an external mic pre and Mbox 2 Pro using SPDIF, but couldn't set the clocking prefs accordingly. I guess the "Launch Setup App" button in the hardware menu should open some options, but nothing comes up. In PT 10.3.7 the setup is easy by switching the clock source and it works well.

ASUS P5Q Pro
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200, 8 Gb RAM
Win 7 64-bit SP1
Mbox 2 Pro
M-Audio Axiom 49
Pro Tools 11.0.2 and 10.3.7

Not sure what mic pre you are using... but my Eureka has various options on the spdif i/o. When I had a Mbox 2 Pro, I would set the pre amp to whatever I had the project set to 44.1k and +4db pro button in. Then I would make sure the project settings were the same and then go under the Mbox 2 Pro Prefrences and set it to spdif after I had the mic pre powered up and set to the sample rate.

The Mbox 2 Pro should then receive the signal from the spdif if connected properly and the lock up to it.

Should be that simple. Double check your settings and preferences and reply back.

Good Luck

Also, if you're recording at higher than 48k, the Mbox 2 Pro can not be clocked externally, but must be set to internal clock.

Thanks for your replies! It's dbx 386 that I tried to hook up, and I'm pretty sure that it was set up correctly, because I got it to work using the same settings in PT 10.3.7 with matching session parameters. But how to access the Mbox 2 Pro preferences in Pro Tools 11 if the Launch Setup App button doesn't respond?
