Import Audio Key Commands Not Working
I recently noticed that one of the keyboard shortcuts within the import audio dialogue box isn't working. Cmd+shift+i opens the dialogue box no problem. Then, cmd+c works for convert or copy audio file. But cmd+A is supposed to work for "Add", and instead it's selecting all files from the explorer
I know this pdf doesn't refer to the latest version of pro tools, so maybe they changes the key command, but page 52 of this pdf confirms what cmd+A is supposed to do https://resources.avid.com/SupportFi...uts_12.8.2.pdf

Re: Import Audio Key Commands Not Working
Import Audio is broken and there doesn't seem to be any urgency in fixing it. I don't even use it anymore. The workaround - dragging the files to the Clips bin - is a crapshoot, but life goes on...

Re: Import Audio Key Commands Not Working
I'm not sure cmd+A has ever worked to be honest.
The import window is broken ever since several versions ago and seems to be getting worse. You currently have to click ok twice to get to the next window as well as the other issues..

Re: Import Audio Key Commands Not Working
Yeah, I know it's been broken for a while now, but I'm sure I'm not the only one here that remembers when it actually worked like it's supposed to! It does seem to be low priority, my hope was that bringing it up here might get it some attention Drag and drop obviously works fine, but import audio is sometimes better for me because it's easier to copy files to the correct folder than to open up a few finder windows and explore that way. So sick of constantly needing to use workarounds for basic functions pro tools is supposed to have

Re: Import Audio Key Commands Not Working
Odd. 2022.4/Win 10 is importing audio here without a hiccup. Other than having to use a 3rd party app to rip/import CD audio, which was eliminated about 4 versions ago.

Re: Import Audio Key Commands Not Working
To be clear, importing the audio works fine, it's just the key commands that are broken. I can manually click add in the dialogue box, but I should be able to press cmd+A instead

Re: Import Audio Key Commands Not Working
FWIW, despite the Shortcuts pdf, I've never known there to be a shortcut for "Add". cmd-A has always just added all the files in a folder to the left-hand pane.

Re: Import Audio Key Commands Not Working
Sorry to keep following up and changing the story, but I had a chance to try this on an older version of Pro Tools at a client's studio yesterday (it was 2019.x I think). cmd+A on that version still selected all files instead of using the add button BUT on that version pressing return/enter would add files. In 2022.5, pressing return hits the open button and thus ends the import audio dialog. So everyone was right, I was wrong about which key command was working, but in that version I could hit enter to add a file, cmd+c to copy/convert a file, escape to cancel, and cmd+o to hit open and end everything–it was still great to not need to click around!
