not only that but you might have to select the in/out in the setup to even make them avaiable in the mixer.

I took out the Digi001 PCI card too. I plugged in the Digi 002 into my firewire card and loaded Pro Tools 6.4, but when I try to make a new session or open a old one a blue screen pops up and my computer reboots. The blue screen flashes up really quickly though, and I can't read what it says. Any ideas? |

Re: Problems with PTLE? Post your configuration he
I haven't d/l'd the software yet because pro tools is on my other computer, but i'm not sure if it relates to hardware.
my computer is p4 2.8 prescott, 1mb cache 2gb kingston DDR400 ram Asus p5p motherboard Mbox 3 80gb seagate barracuda 7200 hdds connected via IDE lg 40x cd writer Pro tools installed on Primary master, recording to secondary master and slave Outboard hardware - Motif rack es, avalon 737sp, roland spd20, radium49 Been using pro tools on the same computer for about 2 years now. I recently upgraded to 6.7 (from 6.4 i think), and in the last 3 months when i open up a previous session and play it, every track will sound. Even the ones that were muted when i last used the session. So then i go back and unmute, then mute then again, and its all good. Then i try to use the side bar to scroll down and it flashes and doesn't move. I close the edit window then open up again, and its fine. On a vocal track, that used to sound fine, there are clicks every few seconds, i took all the plug ins off and put them back on and, you guessed it, all was fine. Specifically, i had a bass line that sounded fine when i closed the session, but a few days later i open it and there is a click on the track. I took the compressor off and that fixed the problem, put it back on and the problem is there again. No mater what the settings on the compressor are it creates a click at that point in the audio. Also when i click a plug in, and try to change settings nothing happens because what i'm seeing on the screen isn't where the buttons are, but if a click a bit below or to one side it will work. If i close the plug in and re open it it works then. Same with the R S and M buttons in the edit window, sometimes they look jumbled, but by closing and opening the window it fixes the problem. The only thing i can think of is that there is some kind of bug in the new pro tools...however 6.7 isn't that new is it? there's nothing in the trouble shooting section of the manual. puh leeeese its driving me bonkers |

Quote:
If so, you need to install the cs9 update to Pro Tools 6.4, available here. Also, download and install the most current Pace drivers, available at www.paceap.com. |

Re: Problems with PTLE? Post your configuration he
I am beginning to think that DigiTechSupport (online) hopes that your problem goes away before addressing it. I have been waiting for a long time in hopes of an answer to the question I posed some time back. I am not certain this is effective customer/ tech support.

Re: Problems with PTLE? Post your configuration he
Wreckd - Try doing a 'Save Session Copy In' and choose to copy all audio files, then open the newly saved session to see if the same problems occur.
This sounds like some kind of session corruption and the above method should fix it. |

Re: Problems with PTLE? Post your configuration he
Powerjoe - have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Pro Tools? Are input devices enabled under the MIDI menu?
Also - is MMERefresh enabled in the Startup tab of the System Configuration utility? |

Re: Problems with PTLE? Post your configuration he
PLEASE NOTE!
This forum is for posting issues specifically related to compatibility issues and NOT for general issues you may be experiencing with Pro Tools. If you are able to install and use Pro Tools, but are experiencing problems NOT related to known or possible motherboard/chipset/compatibility DO NOT post in this forum - start a new thread describing your problem. This will allow us to keep the compatibility issues where they belong (here) and allow your friendly, helpful Digi Support person (me) to follow the threads more easily. So - in summary - DO NOT post here unless you have tried ALL other troubleshooting are are having specific unresolved issues possibly related to compatibility. Thanks! |
