Presonus TubePre...anyone used one before?
I just picked up one of these units for $50 in what appeared to be new condition from a pawn shop.
I haven't really used it yet but does anyone have any comments on them if you have owned one? I wonder if it will be an improvement over the built in pre in the Mbox. Guess I will find out. |

Re: Presonus TubePre...anyone used one before?
What tube pre are you talking about?
I have a BlueTube, which i think sounds marginally better than the pres in my 002. I read a lot of complaints about the Blue Tube being noisy, etc., but I've never had any problems with it on that end. I once read in another forum that the BlueTube's performance was sporadic- some people said they worked great, others had a lot of issues. I think there were some quality consistency problems for a little while, but like I said, I think it sounds about equal to my 002- maybe a little better. -Andrew |
