Default Max number of tracks reached

I'm running PT express 10 and have reached the max number of tracks (16) but I'm not done with my session.

I have all the drums in separate tracks - I'm going to mix them all down to a master track - which will free up some space. However I don't want to delete the original tracks.

Is there a way I can remove the individual drum tracks from the session without deleting them in the event I need to bring them back to remix the master drum track?

Just do a "Save As" of the session with all of the multitrack drums prior to deleting any tracks, then do another "Save As" once you delete the tracks. This way you'll have two session files to go back to if you need to change anything.

Once you've printed a drums track / stem.
You can " hide & make inactive" your drum mults.

I tried making the tracks inactive but it would not allow me to add more tracks. I will have to go with the save as option.

Thanks!
