Default .mpg Will Not Import?

I try to import a .mpg into PT 8.0.1 and get this.

"Can't import the selected video file because it does not have any video frames"

C:\Documents and Settings\Philip\Desktop\SG_Disc_1.mpg

No bad characters in the file path.

I have searched several threads on this same topic and all lead no where.

Here is a Sandra report so I can help you help me

Thanks

SiSoftware Sandra

I use TMPGEnc to convert my work,

This file "C:\Documents and Settings\Philip\Desktop\SG_Disc_1.mpg" is an MPEG-2

I did demux the MPEG-2 and got a .mp2 and a .m2v. Pro Tools does not recognize either.

I will try to convert the file to an MPEG-1 and go from there.

I appreciate the suggestion. I noticed you do not like to type so I appreciate the sacrifice.

Will post my additional findings.
