After updating to 2022.4 I now have Pro Tools Ultimate
After the recent update my splash screen says Pro Tools Ultimate when I start up. The about section also show my version of Pro Tools as Ultimate. I have had a standard licence for years so I'm confused as to how this happened. I'm worried when renewals come around next year Avid are going to want me to pay for an Ultimate subscription I never asked for or bought in the first place.
Has this happened to anyone else? |

You've not purchased Pro Tools Carbon? (which bundles a Ultimate subscription).
What does your Avid account say you have when you log into My Products? What does the actual license on the iLok say? You suddenly have a new license on the iLok? What type? Somebody might have registered a trial or subscription etc. and goofed and managed to use your iLok info etc by mistake. Or ignore all the above questions and just save time and file a support request with Avid support for "Account Support" they will take care of it. https://www.avid.com/learn-and-suppo...-music-support And you likely need to do that anyhow so Avid support knows who you are/can reach your iLok account etc.). |

I'll take your advice and get in contact with Avid. I checked all your questions and none of them came up true.

Thanks for your reply Jeffro. I although I liked the Idea of having Ultimate for the price of Studio, these things will always come back and bite you in the end. I haven't checked my studio pc yet but I'll start it up tonight and check everything is back to normal and then close the case.
