PT 10 and Quicktimes CRASHES
I just moved up to Lion and PT 10.. now sessions with Quicktimes crash Protools. I save PT 9 sessions as PT 10 and try to bring in the Quicktime and it still crashes. Big problem. Any thoughts AVID?

This may be a dumb question since your running 10, but are you running QT 7 ?

Not a dumb question, but Protools and Quicktime run independently of each other.

Point being that QT7 And the new QuickTime X don't get on, PT trys to access the QuickTime x engine meanwhile if you have QuickTime 7 installed, well, there's a conflict.... My only and last option was to reformat my boot drive and dump QT7.....

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean. The Mac Pro won't allow me to dump QT 7. Reformat the boot drive? I think I would rather go back to PT 9 until this glitch is fixed..
