Haven't had a chance to mess with Bluecat yet. I've heard good things.

But the workaround I have been using has been working fine. I just print all my melodyne work once I'm finished and then restart pro tools. That way I control if/when it crashes.

Still sucks man. Should be able to do your work, close Melodyne and move on. To have to close all the time. Have you tried editing and then dragging Melodyne to an Aux track and hiding etc.?

to be honest, this is one reason that I have not even upgraded to El Cap or 12.4 I am still running 10.10.5 Yosemite and 12.3.1 without a hitch. I may upgrade to the latest Melodyne today as it's a holiday and play around with it, unless someone thinks that's a bad idea. Is http://www.celemony.com aware of the problem? I did not see that there is a post about it. They are pretty cool about responding to issues with there software. Aways good responses from them!

Yeah, it's a little frustrating.

I've tried the Aux move, I've tried commit, bounce. Once I make the track inactive it leaves the session open to a crash. What I'm actually looking at now is using Melodyne Studio instead of the plugin for material that I don't need to hear the playback. Recently upgraded from Editor to studio, so now I could edit multiple tracks with ease. Might be the way of the future for me lol.

Thanks for all your help though. It's great to be able to get other people to run tests on their system.

Yeah, I'm going to try that now that I've had a few people not have the same issue as me.

Wondered how it went.. I got bogged down with some upcoming project meetings, so I decided to wait until I hear when I get that work. I am good where I am at. Had another more interesting thing happen with Altiverb 7 Auto Update crashing Protools on quitting and also not able to install new IR's using Auto Update. The PlugIn works fine otherwise.

Gotcha-:) Interested to see what they say. I'm still on yosemite and staying put on my system for now. Especially with the GUI glitches have been having with 12.4. and El Capitan. 10.11.2

Default Melodyne & Pro Tools 12.4

So, I've been in contact with Celemony. They have been able to reproduce the problem and have passed it on to their developers to fix. No timeline on a fix though.

Great! They seem to work quickly in the past. We will see as this is a new update launch for them and they don't want things to happen so soon.
Thanks for the update-:)
