Default Trouble setting up Korg Triton as MIDI controller

To whom it may concern, I am having trouble setting up my Korg Triton as a MIDI controller in LE6.4. I've set up a MIDI channel and an Aux. channel. ON the MIDI channel I set input to port1 channel 1(for my MOTU 5x5 interface). ON the Aux channel I inserted the Soft Synth(Plug-In)that I wanted to use. ON the output of the MIDI channel I set to read the insert that I selected on the Aux channel. I've turned the Local control off on the Triton and put it in Sequencer mode. I"ve tried differnt configurations on the MIDI channel, but none seem to work. if you could help me out that would be great.
Thank You

Try the following:

1- rec enable the midi track
2- turn up the volume on the aux track
3- set Midi Thru in the Protools Midi menu.

and if that doesn't work, set the input on the midi track to ALL.

Make sure that PT sees the Motu as an interface in the Midi Input and Output - to make sure its working.

I don't have an external midi interface, but as has been mentioned midi input should be set to ALL and the MOTU interface should show up in the list and it should show up in the list of midi outputs, the Triton should have local control off (if you want PTLE to control the keyboard) and midi sync should be set to external on the keybaord, make sure midi thru is enabled in the Midi menu of PTLE and the keyboard should be in sequence mode. Also make sure you've choosen a patch (a sound), something that will really stand out, and that the midi track is record enabled.

This is based on getting the keyboard going first. It should be as easy as changing the midi output to a softsynth when you want to get it going.

you should be in sequencer mode, it just helps when trying to play. If you are in combi mode or program mode, it sends all sorts of midi messages on every channel due to arpeggiators and stuff.
