Default Copy and Pasting MIDI Notes Issue

This is one of my few issues with PT, so far everything has been fairly smooth. Say I lay down some MIDI notes with my keyboard on an instrument track Then I copy and paste it 10 times on the same track. When I want to make a change to the midi notes, I have to edit and change all of the 10 copy and pasted notes. I'm sure there is a way to make it so that I can make edits to the original midi recording and it effects all of the pasted data, right? What if I wanted to copy and paste some midi notes 100 times so they play throughout the whole song... and then I want to edit one little thing... There is no way I should have to edit it 100 times! Any help or input would deeply be appreciated.
