HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS???
Does anyone know if Digidesign is coming out with an upgrade to the digi 002? I'm about to buy one and just hate when something I've just bought gets replaced or becomes obsolete. Perhaps the 002 was so well made that it can be used for many years to come and still keep up with technology regardless to what comes out. What do ya think? THANKS!

(apparently, my last post was censored...)
There isn't even a hint that something is even in development. It's all speculation and rumor (and wishful thinking). Not a bit of truth to be had. As for the "so well made" quality of the 002/002r, I personally haven't had any problems with mine, and like it very much, but there are Many others... ...who would definitely... ...disagree (Searching these forii for "power harness" might be an eye opener...)

Re: HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS???
somehow I think that different combinations of hardware/software/user errors have to come into play with as many 002's that have gone bad out there... makes one wonder what happens if you treat one right I guess and don't go with cheap low end hardware...

Re: HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS???
see... users like you, Shawn and I whom have never had issues with any of the hardware/software are good examples.. just goes to show if you get a decent machine, and don't hit your digi hardware with a baseball bat repeatedly and then wonder why it doesn't work anymore that things do work... hehehe

Re: HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS???
I do believe that Digi also markets their hardware/software to users as a "plug and play" solution though for the most part. Users think they can take it home and never have any form of issue with it and just plug it in and produce the next grammy winning record sometimes I think... sometimes it almost makes you wonder if they should issue a PT competency class before units are sold... but then again that would kill the sales for things...

Re: HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS???
Stone... If prices suddenly plunged on OO2R and OO2's, I'd wonder if OO3 was ready for announcement, but they haven't so they will remain in their own class. If Digi were to announce an OO3 soon, it would be double the price and functionality of the OO2 seeing how the OO2 prices are stable. With two stable OO2 products, I doubt you'll ever see a DigiOO2-1/2 like you saw with the MBox.
