Hi, anyone want to quickly walk me through setup of my iPad app to control the Avid desk? I believe the router connection is a different cat5 one than the main engine (looking at the back of the engine on the far right), but wanted to confirm that I can connect router and have remote control while ALSO running my laptop as recording/playback device. Let me know some details if anyone has done this and has a minute to walk me through it and any things to look out for.

You can. Ports A and B are for AVB connections to the stage racks and desk, C goes to your computer, and the ECx port goes to your network. In the Interaction tab in the System tab, set the desk with a fixed IP address and make sure that all other devices are fixed as well. Real VNC has been the most stable for us and I can even connect to my desk with my Android phone. If you find that the connection is sluggish, you'll have to boot to windows and reinstall the ECx driver.

Hi there, RealVNC is a OSX or Windows only application, how to you make it work with an iPad?

Try VNC Viewer. Or really any IOS vnc app should work.
