Actually Columbus only got as far as the West Indies, which is why they named the continent not after him, but after Amerigo Vespucci (hope I spelt it right). It's shameful that an Englishman should have to tell you this.

Hey, my Yahoo mailbox has shot up from 25MB to 2GB! And Daisy's free one [email protected] (drop her a line, but nothing nasty - see how trusting I am?) has gone up to 100MB. Well the adventure has finally begun.Picked Karel up at the airport last night in the middle of an incredible hail and thunder storm.It was unreal driving down the freeway.Welcome to Alberta..
As we speak Karel is still sleeping after drinking some of that skunky swill that the English call beer.
We arrived at my acreage after dark, so he still has no idea where he is.He is in for a shock when he wakes up.As we where getting out of the car he asked me "what's that noise".I don't think he has ever heard the kind of silence that we have here.

Today we are off to the Rocky Mountains..If we have internet access I will try and keep you all posted.

I'm sure he will probably add a few lines when he gets up.
