Default Re: What causes iLok cloud sessions to open?

Opened ILM this morning. Cloud session enabled again. I’ve always had it in managed mode. I did not run any other 3rd party license manager.

Is this keeps happening, we can now move all UAD off iLok and onto computer (MAR 31 25)

New! Move UAD Activations to Your Computer

Today's email from UAD:

“Activate UAD Plug Ins on Your Computer
Good news! Now you can activate all of your native UAD plug ins and apps on up to three devices and use them anywhere — without internet or connecting an iLok.
This free update is waiting for you. Open the UA Connect app today to get started.

Mix the Way You Want
You asked, we listened. You no longer need an iLok USB or internet connection to use your native UAD plug ins or LUNA. Simply open the UA Connect app and follow the steps to move UAD activations to your computer, then start creating.*
Offline? No Problem
Moving activation to your computer means you can work totally offline, without worrying about downtime during outages.
Activate on up to Three Devices
We've increased your number of activation locations, so now you can use your plug-ins on up to three computers.
Your Studio On The Go
You can still activate licenses at any time on an iLok USB (v2 or v3), so you can take your plug ins and apps with you to any location.

Questions? Visit our knowledge base to learn more.
*Note that UAD Spark subscription licenses are still activated on iLok Cloud or iLok (sold separately). Any activations on iLok USB keys are unaffected by this update.”

Before I transfer my UA from my iLok to my computer, tried License Manager again, to see if the (grayed-out) Cloud location from the LHS of iLok License Manager had been removed. It was still there.

I never use Cloud and have no intention of using it.

Previously, I’d been able to remove this Cloud location, but that is no longer possible.
Please restore this removal function.

... and:
LicenseSupportInstallerWin64_v5.10.0_869c108c actually installs the “old” v5.10.0.4633
I uninstalled PACE License Support Win64 v5.10.0.4633 (installed 29/03/2025),
ran CCleaner,
restarted computer,
installed LicenseSupportInstallerWin64_v5.10.0_869c108c,
restarted computer,
Windows Programs and Features shows that Installer v5.10.0_869c108c
actually installs the “old” v5.10.0.4633

... to be continued ... (would like to try a newer version of ILM before I transfer UA from my iLok to my computer) ...

Emailed iLok:

I also had a “Guest Cloud” appear in the ILM Tray (LHS) – I managed to delete it, but wondered how and why it got there, as I didn’t instigate it.
Please advise

Reply from iLok today:

A guest cloud is a cloud session that is open on your computer from a different iLok account than the one you are signed into. Do you share studio space or have you used a different iLok account on this computer?

My reply:
I own and use 2 iLoks (with separate accounts), but today, after installing today’s latest update, ILM v5.10.1.4649, I’m pleased to report that there’s no sign of iLok Cloud location lurking in the ILM Tray in the LHS of iLok License Manager – on either of my iLoks.
Thank you for your update!

I hope installing ILM v5.10.1.4649 fixes everyone’s problems …

Guess I spoke too soon - the saga continues – my email to iLok today:

APR 7 25 - Cloud’s back on the LHS of ILM after I login – please see attached image.
Please advise.
